  1. Final Review of the National Strategy on Domestic, Sexual and Gender-based Violence 2010-2014

Final review of the National Strategy on Domestic, Sexual and Gender-based Violence 2010-2014.

Cosc has commenced a final review of the National Strategy on Domestic, Sexual and Gender-based Violence with a view to drafting a second national strategy. As a first step Cosc sought the views of the National Steering Committees on Violence against Women and on Violence against Men on a draft review questionnaire in the latter part of 2013. The questionnaire has now issued to stakeholders.

In summary it asks five questions:

1. What was good about the strategy?
2. What was not good?
3. Have you any evidence either way?
4. What do you want to do in the next strategy?
5. What should others do?

The closing date for replies is 14 May 2014. At that point a team from the University of Limerick will commence work to produce a thematic analysis of the responses as one input into the final review and as a major input into the next strategy. The review was the main agenda item at the Spring meetings of the National Steering Committees on Violence against Women and on Violence against Men.
